Marijuana Distant Second to Alcohol Among Teens
A survey by the University of Michigan has found that alcohol is the most widely-used drug by teens, double the use of marijuana.
The survey of 47,097 students reported 43.5 percent of 12th graders reported having a drink in the past month. That’s compared to 20.6 percent who said they have used marijuana in the past month, up slightly from figures the previous two years.
The report indicates the use of cigarettes and marijuana are drastically down from the 1990s.
